My husband and I have been loyal and happy customers of Schneider's Auto Repair for over 15 years. In fact, the first time we brought in one of our cars, our daughter was less than a week old - and now she's getting ready to drive. Over the years, Mitch and his team have always been highly professional, honest, and define the word integrity. Not only have we brought in all of our cars for service (including a classic T-Bird), but we have referred numerous friends here as well. Schneider's is like family and we won't go anywhere else. Thank you Mitch and staff!

I went to Schneider's for a engine overheating issue that I thought may be coolant or thermostat related. Indeed there was a tear in a hose. I ended up having them replace the thermostat since it was an easy job with the hose replacement, as well as getting a full synthetic oil change.Their prices aren't the cheapest -- and they shouldn't be. I've owned 11 cars in the past 8 years, from pickups and SUVs to quick little european sports cars. One lesson I've learned is that saving a few bucks on maintenance and repair jobs generally corresponds to a decrease in the quality of work. This decrease in turn leads to shelling out BIG BUCKs down the road.PROs:Mitch, the owner is brilliant. He is an absolute expert in this industry and he runs a tight ship. He also knows the value of a happy customer -- and he runs his business in a way to make sure customers walk away happy.Free shuttle service to and from.Frank was very accommodating, from allowing me to choose the brand of oil (I'm partial to Castrol, which is a brand they use along with Kendall) to getting a security code reset for me that otherwise would have cost me $99.Service is not created equal, and you definitely want an absolute expert on site, especially one who cares about his customers as much as Mitch does.CONs:The mechanic working on my car noted in the report that he tried to check my transmission fluid, but my transmission cap was on too tight. This is a bit alarming as a 2006 Ford Explorer has a sealed transmission --- it's not supposed to be opened. When you service all kinds of cars, it's not easy remember each model/year's nuances, so this is somewhat understandable. I'm sure Mitch will read over this and educate his technicians on this aspect. This oversight was not enough to deduct any stars from the overall review.
