Simi Valley Auto Repair

I have a new mechanic! After going to another mechanic for 5 years who I thought was a little overpriced but honest I decided to go to Schneiders, which was recommended by a friend as being honest and affordable, for a costly repair the other place had told me I needed. Schneiders found that not only was there nothing wrong with what the other place had found but they could find nothing wrong with the car at all! It was disheartening to think I had been taken advantage of by people I trusted. Despite spending a lot of time trying to diagnose a problem that didn't exist they didn't charge me anything. I feel comfortable saying I have a new mechanic, and they are all very friendly as well.

Doing some research to get my car repaired based on an inspection that the dealer did. Asked Mitch for a quote for the reported major repairs that the dealer recommended but rather than quoting it sight unseen he asked me to bring it in for a verification inspection His guy verified exactly what the dealer found pretty quickly within an hour and a half. There was a miscommunication about a $120 inspection fee (discounted to $65 if they did the work) and I was not happy about it. After explaining to Frank that Mitch had not mentioned an inspection fee and asking for a break on it, he made the executive decision to waive it altogether just like that.. the whole fee. These guys are straight up. Given the chance they will just do the right thing. Not the cheapest or the most expensive but given that they will stand behind what they say, I am a fan.

Highly recommend this repair shop. My first time using them was a delight. They took me in after closing time and took care of a major repair quickly the next day. Good communication and friendly atmosphere. If I lived in Simi it would be my go to repair shop. Just happened to break down out there.

I would recommend this place for anybody who wants it done right the first time Arlene is really one of my favorite people at Schneiders. Sure you expect great mechanics at an auto repair place, the "behind the scenes" people are what puts a place over the top. HEAD and shoulders above the rest when it comes to keeping your car on the ROAD.
